Biomas Food Waste Hopper

The Challenge

The customer required a low-level sensor in a feed hopper for food waste to be fed into a biomass anabolic digestor. The indicator was to automate the feed of the waste and protect the system from running dry. The waste product had a high level of moisture and was corrosive.

Our Solution

Using the new CN7100 capacitance probe UWT were able to sense the full range of products and had a high resistance to moisture and corrosion. The probe is made of PPS or PVDF plastic and has a high resistance to aggressive media in the process.
