Wood Chip Blockage Indicator RN3001
The Challenge
A customer in England requested a backflow sensor for a horizontal conveyor that transports wood chips into a warehouse for biomass boilers. The chips are dry, but due to their size and shape, the chips occasionally combine to form a bale inside the outlet chute. This causes the conveyor belt to jam. A backflow alarm should be used so that this accumulation of wood chips and bale formation is reported in good time.
Our Solution
By using a compact Rotonivo RN3001 rotary paddle detector with a boom length of 100mm and a paddle mounted in the center, the level switch could be installed within the limited space available. The sensitivity can be adjusted to the wood chips on the sensor. A reliable, compact and inexpensive limit switch that offers an optimal solution here.
