UWT GmbH is one of the world's leading manufacturers of measurement technology for the detection and monitoring of levels, limit levels in any kind of bulk materials, solids as well as in liquids, pastes and foam. Since its foundation in 1977, the UWT GmbH product portfolio has developed and refined to provide solutions for a wide range of industries such as the food sector, plastic applications, cement plants, chemical industry, wood and rubber sector, environmental and power plants, etc. The company is ISO 9001: 2015 certified.  UWT continually expands its portfolio of product certifications with particular regard to international markets. 

The production facility is sited within the head office in Betzigau, Germany with an additional production facility in Malta.

In 2009 the company set up UWT UK Ltd, basing itself in the Midlands UK, to further extend its network of worldwide sales offices - in the US, China, India, Russia, Brazil and Mexico - thus ensuring that customer requirements from around the world can be met with maximum flexibility. In addition, UWT is represented in more than 70 countries via a network of exclusive distribution partners.
