Contents measurement in raw coal silos

The Challenge

Our customer in China required a reliable measurement technology for his 17,75-metres x 1,5-metres coal silos - at the same time retaining its optimal performance under very dusty and noisy conditions. Furthermore, the new measurement technology should be easy to install and parameterize.

Our Solution

For this application the UWT NivoBob NB 3200 represents the ingeniously simple solution. In a dusty environment, the electromechanical lot operates absolutely reliable. Due to the integrated conveyor belt cleaner dust and further contamination cannot penetrate into the mechanical area. The sensor has a modbus RTU interface and also an analog 4-20mA level signal, which can be implemented in any plc. The NivoBob NB 3200 is robust and developed for long term operation in heavy applications.
