Limit switch for silo truck loading with wasted lime

The Challenge

During electricity generation from biomass, gases are produced that are treated with quicklime (CaO) as part of flue gas cleaning. The quicklime reacts with the pollutants and is subsequently stored and disposed of. A major power producer in Germany was therefore looking for a reliable limit switch for filling its silo trucks. The filling process involves strong vibrations, and the material is highly corrosive.
