Manufacture of ceramic tiles - Interface measurement in a settling tank (sludge)

The Challenge

A multinational manufacturer from Brazil, who produces ceramic tiles needed to control the sludge level in its wastewater treatment plant. The solution required a limit control to activate the pump when the sludge level reached 200 mm. It was important to detect the interface of the sludge layer deposited at the bottom of the water tank.

Our Solution

Our solution for this case was the Vibranivo VN 1030 vibration limit switch with adjustable interface measurement. The stainless steel pipe extension is 1800 mm long. Thanks to the flexible sensitivity setting for the sludge layer at the bottom of the tank, it works perfectly to control the valve for sludge extraction.
