Power plant – Empty detection in a reactor (wood chips)

The Challenge

A customer from Latvia who operates a power plant was looking for a reliable empty detection for his reactor. The task was to measure wood chips that are burned at process temperatures of 600 °C, creating an aggressive medium.

Our Solution

The best solution was our Rotonivo RN 3001 rotary paddle level switch in a special version for temperatures up to 600°C with a graphite seal. The sensor provides economical and reliable level detection for critical media in high-temperature applications.
