RF 3100 in a separator for alkali-based detergent

The Challenge

An OEM producer of cleaning facilities for oil products had an level switch application for a separator facility. The tank contains a liquid mixture of an alkali-based detergent and oil residues under + 120°C. The challange was the aggressive medium, high temperature and the possibility of product sticking.

Our Solution

The solution for this application was the capacitive technology - for usual level switches from the typ RF 3100. This sensors can be calibrated exact to the dielectric constant of the medium. The automatic calibration function makes the setup quite easy. At the electronic display the switch point can be analyzed.
