RF3100 in Sawdust, Woodchips

The Challenge

A customer in Sweden is looking for a compact sensor to measure the fullalarm in a process hopper with wood chips/sawdust. It is 4 conveyingscrews which always load this product in the hopper. It means, that material will pass the sensor all the time. The RF3 should give a signal when it is full. The challenge here is also the low DK-Value.

Our Solution

The capacitance sensor RF3100 is a great solution here because we do have a very short sensor length with 200 mm. The electronics have a display that shows the measured capacitance in pF. The sensitivity of the sensor can be set here very easily.
