RF3100 in sticky surfactants

The Challenge

A customer has a limit switch application in a process hopper, where surfactants are filled in. Very important is the approval for gasex-zone 1. The material is very sticky and the high viscousity causes deposition at the probe.

Our Solution

The solution is the capacitance sensor RF3100 with active shield technology. This technology protects the functionality of the process and makes it reliable also there is a lot of deposit at the probe. The sensor has an automatic calibration function. Setup and commissioning is easily done by a quickstart menue, which can be accessed at the electronic via display. The sensitivity of the RF3100 starts at a dielectric constant of 1,5. This surfactants are between 2 and 3. This guarantees also a high safety in the application.
