Level measurements in sand storage silo

The Challenge

The customer required a continuous level measurement for their sand storage silos. The sand particles are typically abrasive and have a low dielectric constant (Dk).

Our Solution

The non-contact radar sensor NivoRadar NR 4100 was installed. Its high sensitivity and narrow 4° beam angle allow reliable measurement even of weakly reflecting materials like sand.
