NG3100 in a narrow storage silo for cement

The Challenge

The customer was looking for a supplier of level sensors who could replace a defective sensor in a narrow storage silo for cement and other different solids like sand or chalk. The application is very dusty and sticky. The sensor has to be very robust and fit into the existing process connection and monitoring system.

Our Solution

The solution is a Nivoguide NG3100 for solids in a rope version. The rope has a diameter of 6mm and can be fixed to the bottom, so that it will not touch the silo walls during the filling end emptying process. The setup is quite easy and it works reliable from the beginning. It was a plug and play installation and replacement.  The silo has also a max detector to avoid overfilling. It is solved by a rotating paddle switch RN3002.
