NR 4100 in Flour Silo

The Challenge

One of the largest food manufacturers in Peru needed to measure the continuous level of a 15-meter silo in their flour mill. The environment was very dusty, the flour has a low dielectric value that makes many measurements difficult, and the installation had to be done on the conical roof of the silo.

Our Solution

Our ideal solution for this case was the NivoRadar 4000 series level transmitter. This very compact unit was developed for measuring in very dusty conditions, due to its 80 GHz technology and narrow beam angle of only 4º, ensure measurement even in dusty environments and with low dielectric materials. The accuracy of +- 2 mm added to the possibility of linearization adjustments of the discharge cone made this transmitter a perfect solution.
