NR 7200 in homopolymer pellets

The Challenge

An important global plastic packaging manufacturer, located in Lima - Peru, was looking for a solution for measuring homopolymer pellets, with a low dielectric of 2.3 DK, in its 9-meter silos. In these storage tanks the guided wave measurement system had measurement failures and inaccuracy.

Our Solution

Our perfect solution for this case was the NivoRadar series 7200 range of radar level transmitters. This line of non-contact sensors with PVDF wetted parts with 1 ½” process connection, it supports temperatures up to 80ºC together with a high accuracy of +-2mm and a response time of 3s, due to its high frequency of 80 GHz, perfect to materials with low dielectric constant values. It works in extreme measurement conditions and outdoor environments as it has IP68 rating. Through the UWTLevel App the solution can be configured easily.
