NR7100 in latex measurement in plastic tank

The Challenge

An important asphalt production company needed to continuously measure its latex tanks, made of PP plastic measuring 4.23m high and 3.20m in diameter. In this application, the critical point was to find a reliable solution in terms of precision, ambient temperature and external installation.

Our Solution

Our perfect solution for this case was the NivoRadar series 7200 range of radar level transmitters. This line of non-contact sensors with PVDF wetted parts, it supports temperatures up to 80ºC together with a high accuracy of +-2mm and a response time of 3s, due to its high frequency of 80 GHz. It works in extreme measurement conditions and outdoor environments as it has IP68 rating.
