RN3001 in animal feed pellets

The Challenge

Our customer who has an animal feed plant in Russia required a reliable, maintenance-free sensor for the pellet mill. The pellet mill is used for pressing compound feeds with production of cylindrical pellets of a certain size and density. The high speed of material, the tight space and the heavy dust concentration pose the main challenges in this application. Above, the sensor needed to withstand the high mechanical load. The material is processed with steam and fat. Deposit build-up and temperatures of 80°C are another problem within this application.

Our Solution

The rotating paddle switches of series ROTONIVO RN3000 offer a reliable solution for this application. The mechanical system works independently from the dusty environment in comparison to other technologies. The Teflon shaft sealing resists the harsh conditions in this application. In the end, the units are adjusted to the individual customers needs.
