Alarm full detection RN 6002 in wood gasifier reactor at 600°C

The Challenge

Our customer required a full detection in a wood gasifier reactor. The core of the plant is a reactor that produces the gas for the conversion into electricity by cooking wood chips. The particular challenge are the temperatures of up to 600°C. Above, tar condensates can damage the function of the measurement system.

Our Solution

The rotating paddle switch of series Rotonivo RN 6002 fulfills all of the extreme requirements. The sensitivity and the torsional of the limit switch are adjusted to the bulk dense of the wood chips and the sticky tar condensate. The extension of the rotating paddle switch is designed with high temperature bearings and sealing to safe the mechanics from ash and dust. UWT delivered a reliable detection and lifetime with this unit.
