Capanivo in a mixture of milled grain

The Challenge

The animal feed producer needs to control a hopper which supply the mixing systems with milled materials (corn, soya, rice, wheat, meat meal and husks). False alarms were quite frequent due to the material accumulated on the sensors. Also, it was a very dynamic process with silo supply many times a day, required a sensor that was reliable and fast response to increase the performance.

Our Solution

Our best solution for this case was the Capanivo serie 4000 capacitive sensor, with 155mm PPS probe. The active shield technology could avoid the false alarm due build up of the material and together with the response time of 0,5 seconds of the 100% electronic sensor, were a perfect combination, therefore able to keep the performance and reliabilityof the process in a higher level.
