Flour production – Level measurement technology for raw material storage tanks (grain)

The Challenge

A customer from India who produces flour for the food industry was looking for reliable level measurement technology for its storage silos. The task was to measure grain that is used as a raw material for flour production.

Our Solution

Our ideal solution for this case was the non-contact radar NivoRadar NR 4100. This very compact unit was developed for measuring in very dusty conditions, due to its 80 GHz technology and narrow beam angle of only 4º. The accuracy of +- 2 mm added to the possibility of linearization adjustments of the discharge cone made this transmitter a perfect solution.
