Level limit measurement in filter dust at about 200°C

The Challenge

One of the largest coal power producers in Ireland was looking for a limit switch in several ESP filters as a high-alarm sensor. They needed a sensor that reliably detects the filter dust. The special challenge was the high process temperature in combination with the very aggressive filter dust from coal combustion. Most of the sensors on the market failed in this application.

Our Solution

The high-temperature version of the UWT rotating paddle switch Rotonivo RN 3004 can solve this application. It has a dust-proof high temperature bearing and sealing. Thus the sensor has a long lifetime.
