Level limit measurement in PVC powder

The Challenge

A producer of window frames required a backflowswitch to monitor the material flow in numerous extrusion pipes. It was important that the measuring technology reliably functioned in a very dusty environment with a low DK-value. If the backflowswitch would not detect the product, the crew conveyor could block and be damaged.

Our Solution

UWT's vibrating fork Vibranivo VN 2000 meets these measurement requirements. It is mounted in an oblique angle between the screw conveyor and the pipe to the pre-hopper of the extruder. With a sensitivity of 20 g/l it measures with a high safety this PVC powder independend of the low DK-value.
