Level limit measurement in wood chips

The Challenge

A leading manufacturer of wood chip products in Germany needed reliable and long-lasting level switches for numerous storage silos filled with wood shavings. The wood shavings partly have a high humidity and exert a great mechanical pressure on the sensor boom. Therefore, a high mechanical strength is necessary as well as a tightness against moisture, but also dust. The sensors for full, required and empty message can be mounted laterally via flange connection.

Our Solution

The Rotonivo RN 3003 series meet these high requirements. The sensor boom is very robust and thanks to its angle bracket provides good protection for the sensitive, rotating shaft of the rotary paddel switch. It is dust-tightly ball-bearing extremely durable. With these features the RN 3000 series is predestined for such applications in may areas of the wood sector.
