Manufactering of Lumber-core boards - Demand detection in a storage bunker (Wood chips)

The Challenge

A customer from Ukraine was looking for a reliable demand detection for his storage bunker. The task was to measure wood chips, which are needed as raw material for the production of lumber-core boards for the furniture industry. Due to the high mechanical forces acting on the sensor, it had to be very resilient.

Our Solution

The best solution was our Rotonivo RN 3003 paddle switch with a 90° angular extension and reinforcement ribs. The sensor has a maximum permissible mechanical torque of 600 Nm and was additionally equipped with a PTFE sealing ring and a flange.
