NB 4 in cement storage for concrete production

The Challenge

One of the largest producer of concrete in Brazil needs to measure the volume of cement in silos of 11,6 meters and 3,5 meter of diameter in order to reduce the logistic costs. Also, precision was very important to obtain more efficiency of the material supply, even though the non-centralized discharge cone was filled up. The measurement is in a very dusty environment. The electromechanical NB 4100 was the best solution.

Our Solution

Our best solution was the NivoBob series 4200 tape version able to measure 15 meters and with tape cleaner system integrated. It was a robust system able to work many years without any maintenance. The high precision of 1,5% of the measure range fits to the necessity working perfectly with the selected midpoint generating high accuracy to the process.
