Production of thermosetting resins - Level measurement technology for raw material storage tanks (phenol)

The Challenge

A leading chemical company in Chile, specializing in the production of thermosetting resins, was looking to measure its phenol tanks. The tank was 7.5 meters high and made of stainless steel. They needed a contactless solution for reliable measurement, even with a constantly agitated system.

Our Solution

Our perfect solution for this case was the non-contact radar NivoRadar NR 7100. This sensor with PVDF antenna supports temperatures up to 60 °C and offers high accuracy of +-5 mm. Even with temperature and volume fluctuations, the measurements were accurate thanks to the 80 GHz frequency. The device works under extreme measurement conditions and outdoors thanks to its IP68 rating.
