RN 3002 in a railway track machine

The Challenge

A customer who manufactured railway cleaning machines had the task of checking the level of the machine tanks. The system collects or sucks various materials in the rails, such as coal, cement, asbestos, ore, gasoline products, etc., using a vacuum generated by a vacuum pump. Excavated material is transported pneumatically through hoses or pipes into a material container and can be transported away from the machine with other additional tools from a distance of 100 meters. The max alarm should be detected in these collecting containers.

Our Solution

The application was solved with a rotating paddle switch RN 3002 rope version. This limit switch detects reliable any kind of solids and waste and is very robus. The construction inside of the hopper is done with a protection pipe. It protects the probe from falling stones and heavy objects.
