Expanding the areas of application in sensitive industries
The improved design of the rotary paddle switch expands its application range, enabling use in sensitive areas such as food production, pharmacy, and biotechnology. This adjustment helps to better meet the needs of these important industries.
Depending on the application, the sensor can be used as a full, demand or empty detector in containers with bulk goods and fulfils the highest hygiene requirements with the EHEDG version.
Design improvements for increased hygiene
The design of the electromechanical detector has been extensively revised to comply with EHEDG guidelines. The contour of the process connection and the wall-flush weld-in socket has been adapted and now has a conical shape. This complies with the EHEDG specifications, which require an angle of at least 135° or a radius of at least 6 mm for all transitions for total cleanliness.
The stainless steel components and weld seams now have a surface quality greater than Ra 0.8 µm. In addition, all weld seams and all metals in contact with the product are polished by way of a technically complex process.
These adjustments were made with the aim of minimising dead spaces and making the cleaning of the installed sensors more efficient. For applications requiring high temperatures, the devices with an FKM shaft seal can now be used up to a temperature of 150°C.
