Factory tour ZAK!

Employees visit the ZAK waste-to-energy plant in Kempten!

Some of our employees visited the ZAK waste-to-energy plant in Kempten as part of a company tour. Between 500 and 600 tons of waste are burned there every day and are used to generate energy. For example, when waste is incinerated, the hot flue gas is used to generate electricity and district heating. After the flue gas has gone through a complex cleaning process, almost 100% clean air leaves the combined heat and power plant. Our attentive employees were even able to discover built-in UWT sensors in the system and get an impression of their practical application. It was a successful afternoon with an informative guided tour!
