Blockage indicator MN 4020
The Challenge
A mill had experienced a series of blockages in the unloading chute that caused the supply system to overflow. The process had to be stopped completely while the spill was cleared up. This led to expensive disruptions because the wheat had to be disposed of. In the past, the customer had used capacity probes that failed several times and were not reliable. The only place available for mounting the blocking sensor was the discharge area of wheat.
Our Solution
By using the UWT MN 4020 vibrating rod level switch set on its lowest sensitivity setting of 300g/l the wheat was able to flow over rod of the switch without it activating. The MN 4020 proved to successful when it indicated a blockage and prevented costly loss of production.
