NivoBob® - the proven plumb bob sensor

The NivoBob® series of plumb bob sensors from UWT are used for continuous level measurement in storage silos and for interface measurement in various industries. The simple electromechanical measuring method is a classic in level monitoring and suitable for almost all bulk solids, regardless of the DK value (dielectric constant).

UWT offers two different series for this technology area. The products of the 3000 series are suitable for standard applications with increased requirements. With the products of the 4000 series simpler applications can be solved economically.

The NivoBob® is particularly suitable for tall silos, large measuring ranges and demanding bulk solids. The electromechanical measuring principle operates independently of the electrical properties of the medium, making it suitable for almost all free-flowing bulk solids.

› Which bulk solids can be measured with the NivoBob®?

The NivoBob® is suitable for a wide range of bulk solids, including grain, cement, lime, sand, plastic pellets, pellets, animal feed, coal, powders and many other free-flowing materials. The measuring principle operates independently of the dielectric constant (DK value) of the medium.

The NivoBob® provides reliable continuous level measurement even under demanding conditions such as heavy dust, material build-up or tall silos. Depending on the version, features such as an integrated belt cleaner, a robust dual-chamber housing and flexible probe and mounting options ensure high measurement reliability and a long service life. The electromechanical measuring principle operates independently of the dielectric constant (DK value) of the medium, making it suitable for almost all bulk solids. Versions with hazardous area approvals are also available for use in explosive atmospheres.
