Capanivo 7000 in Lubrificant Pipe

The Challenge

One of the largest tire producers in the world, needed a reliable level switch to measure the level in a 3" tube of lubricating oil flow at 40ºC. It was a replacement for a sensor with a 1/2" process connection which did not work properly due to the viscosity of the material.

Our Solution

In this case, the ideal solution was our Capanivo 7000 capacitive point level sensor with 1/2" stainless steel thread and PPS probe. This equipment has the active shield technology that prevents the sensor from acting with a false signal due to the protective electric field for materials adhering to the probe. Its reduced insertion length is the ideal solution for a 3" tube.
