CN 8100 interface measurement in an aluminium hydroxide reactor
The Challenge
A customer in the chemical industry is looking for a full detector in an aluminium hydroxide reactor. The sensor will be used as a foam level detector to avoid excessive foaming in the process. When the foam level in the reactor rises sharply, an alarm is issued and the water supply for defoaming is turned on. The conditions in the reactor are with 36,5% hydrochloric acid under +100°C.
Our Solution
The solution is the capacitive sensor CN 8100 with PVDF probe and tube extension. The flange has a teflon coating, which resists the aggressive atmosphere. The 2-wire sensor with tip sensitivity has a very high accuracy and fast response time.
