Coke Separator application (RF3300)
The Challenge
Customer wanted to detect the full level in coke in quench oil in the Naphtha cracking center. The Naphtha cracking center (NCC) pyrolyzes naphtha at ultra-high temperature of more than 1,200°C to produce major products such as ethylene, propylene and byproducts such as mixed C4 and pyrolysis gas. Coke should be removed from quench oil system in ethylene plant. The product in the hopper is very sticky. They could not find a reliable sensor to detect the coke level without regular cleaning and maintenance free.
Our Solution
The capacitance high temperature sensor RF3300 with active shield has no issues with coating. By adjusting the suitable sensitivity, the probe could detect precisely the coke level in the quench oil.
