Continuous level measurement of acetone with melted rosemary

The Challenge

A producer of natural rosemary extrcts was looking for a reliable solution for continuous level measurement in five standing tanks of different volumes. All tanks are indoor. Mediums in the tanks are acetone with melted rosemary, app. 3%. The special feature of melted rosemary is that it caking on the tank wall at the ambient temperature - it forms a coating. An additional challenge were process connections and their lengths. Each tank had a different length of process connection.

Our Solution

NivoCapa 8000 is a sensor for continuous level measurement in liquids and slurries, even under difficult conditions, e.g. - Installation on long nozzles - Condensation in the active shield area without influence on the measurement - Installation in ATEX zone 0 - PFA coated probe to reduce buildup
