Empty Detection in Animal Feed Hopper

The Challenge

The customer wanted a solution that can handle big build up in their process hoppers due to slightly moist animal feed powder. Previous vibrating forks failed due to build up.

Our Solution

We have good experience with the RF-Nivo 3100 in these types of applications and we supplied one unit for the customer to test. After a short period, they changed all existing sensors over to RF-Nivo! Calibration of the unit is key to successful measurement!
