Level limit measurement in a wood pellet press

The Challenge

A plant builder in the wood industry in Romania asked UWT for a reliable level control in a briquetting press. The limit switch is intended to regulate the supply of the sawdust and thus ensure material supply in the system. Sawdust has a low DK value and is relatively light. The application is dusty and requires a DustEx approval.

Our Solution

The rotating paddle sensor Rotonivo RN 3001 is the solution for this application. With a larger vane area, it achieves the necessary sensitivity for the low bulk density. The response time can be reached here with a faster motor with 5U / min and a rectangular vane. The sensor is dust-tight and has all international approvals for use in dust-proof areas. The Rotonivo is an allrounder in the wood industry.
