NivoCapa 8100 in Margarine Filling System
The Challenge
One of the largest food manufacturers in the Dominican Republic required a level control for small 300-mm tanks to monitor the margarine content. In order to control the filling machine precisely, the sensor had to respond to level changes without any major delay. Even in the event of partial incrustation of the material, the measurement should function reliably and without faulty switching. In addition to meeting hygienic requirements, the sensor should also be suitable for CIP processes.
Our Solution
The best solution for this application was the capacitive level transmitter NivoCapa 8000. The PTFE coating prevents material build-up on the probe and also meets the required hygiene guidelines for the CIP cleaning process. The sensor transmits level changes to the control system without delay via an analog 4...20 mA signal.
