NR 7100 in Toluene Tanks

The Challenge

An important manufacturer of adhesives and sealants in Argentina needed to control its toluene tanks at ambient temperature and pressure; one of the main raw materials for its final product. The tank was 6.5 meters long, made of carbon steel. In this case, high precision in the application was essential since the fluid has a high added value.

Our Solution

Our perfect solution for this case was the NivoRadar series 7100 range of radar level transmitters. This line of non-contact sensors with PVDF wetted parts, supports temperatures up to 60ºC together with a high accuracy of +-5mm and a response time of 3s, even with variations in temperature and volume, the measurements were accurate, due to its high frequency of 80 GHz. It works in extreme measurement conditions and outdoor environments as it has IP68 rating.
