Automation of an open water cooling reservoir of a Direct Reduced Iron (DRI) Plant

The Challenge

Due to the applications very fast level changes a sensor with a quick response time was required. The sensor was to ensure direct control of the valve operation. The presence of vapors made this application more difficult.

Our Solution

The non-contact Radar sensor NivoRadar 4100 was installed. Due to Potted Electronics design and just 4 degree narrow beam angle allow to provide reliable measurement.
