NR 4100 with CN 4 in calcium carbonate

The Challenge

A large calcium carbonate manufacturing company based in the Dominican Republic needed level controls for the production of calcium carbonate. In the 3x 5-meter and 3x 11-meters silos they needed level controls for the contents as well as high and low level switches. It was very difficult to measure since the environment was very dusty.

Our Solution

Our ideal solution for this case was the NivoRadar 4000 series level transmitter. This very compact unit was developed for measuring in very dusty conditions, due to its 80 GHz technology and narrow beam angle of only 4º.The accuracy of +- 2 mm added to the possibility of linearization adjustments of the discharge cone made this transmitter a perfect solution. For safety level controls, Capanivo series capacitive upper and lower level switches were installed, which can detect very low dielectric materials without being influenced by incrustations on the probe. CN4050 D01LC3UB, high level and CN4020 A01LAA1A low level.
