Level limit measurement in animal feeds

The Challenge

Our customer has an animal feeds plant with expanders. Thus, the animal feeds is heated within 5 sec from 100°C up to 120°C. Afterwards, the animal feeds is pressed and kneaded. Thus, bacteria, salmonellae and mold are killed but at the same time nutrients and agents are not damaged. In the end, the animal feed is easy to digest. The main challenge of this application is the corrosion resulting from the aggressive oils.

Our Solution

The rotating paddle switches of series Rotonivo RN 3000 are particularly suited for this application in expanders. Our RN 3000 is also availbale with stainless steel extension 1.4404 (316L) and teflon sealing.
