Limit switch in a pressure feed hopper

The Challenge

The challenge was in this application, that the sensor should detect the max alarm in a pressure feed hopper with lime powder. It is extremely dusty. The pressure is up to 5bar. The reaction time should be quite fast.

Our Solution

The solution is a capacitive sensor CN 4030 with a 500mm shaft. The sensor has a sensitivity of DK 1,6 and a reaction time of about 0,5 second. It is a cost effective solution and it works reliable.
