NivoBob 3000 in cement storage silos

The Challenge

A leading cement manufacturer in Colombia needed to reliably automate its finished cement level measurement process. Until then, the material was measured manually with a plumb line with the personnel ascending to the 48-meter silo, generating personal risk of accidents.

Our Solution

We solved this case with our NivoBob 3000 series electromechanical content measurement transmitter. It has an integrated measuring tape cleaning system, which keeps it clean and free from dust collection inside the sensor housing. This system is capable of detecting the level across the physical surface and results in high accuracy in level measurements.
