Radar for silo with fluor
The Challenge
A bread factory in Russia had the task to measure the level of their flour silo's continuously. Only non-contact level measurement was considered. Application conditions: - silo for storage of flour 20 meters high - normal ambient temperature, without pressure the flour is loaded into the silo once a day, as a result of which a dust cloud is formed, which reaches the level gauge and settles on it - the gauge is equipped with a non return valve for air purge, but it works reliably without purging the lens
Our Solution
We solved this application with our non-contact radar level transmitter NivoRadar 3100. Even in an very dusty environment the reliability and the accuracy of the measurement is not influenced. The gauge can also handle build-up around the antenna. Equipped with the non return valve for air purge strong build-up can be removed easily.
