RFnivo 8200 in Tanker Trucks

The Challenge

An important port warehouse for chemical products and fuels in the Dominican Republic needed punctual level control for truck tanks, avoiding the need for inspections of aggressive products. The probe had to comply with chemical resistance requirements for acids, solvents, kerosene and various fuels.

Our Solution

In this case, the capacitive limit switch RFnivo 8200 was used with a 250 mm long stainless steel and PFA probe that is resistant to acids and aggressive chemicals. The level sensor features active shield technology to reliably measure even sticky products and can be used in applications with temperatures up to 400ºC and at overpressure. The sensor has been installed on top of the cylindrical tank to indicate that the tank is completely full without the need for human intervention.
