Water treatment - Limit switch in a buffer vessel with water softening salt tablets

The Challenge

Our customer, a company designing and constructing water treatment installations for industry, was seeking a reliable and economical solution for level control of salt tablets used in water treatment processes (softening). It was necessary to maintain the tablets in the tube tanks, primarily made of plastic, above a specific level. The level sensor had to be sensitive enough to accurately indicate the presence of salt tablets, regardless of potential variations in their size, while remaining light enough not to strain the plastic tank walls.

Our Solution

To meet the customer's requirements, we have proposed the capacitive limit switch Capanivo CN 7100 , which is very small and lightweight, has excellent sensitivity and is a very economical solution. After successful testing, the customer uses our solution.
