Continuous Level Measurement with 80 GHz FMCW Radar for the Most Demanding Applications
Non-contact radar sensors continuously and reliably detect fill levels. The basis is the FMCW radar measurement principle (Frequency Modulated Continuous Wave), in which a signal is varied over a defined frequency range. The difference between the transmitted and echo signals provides the travel time, which is then used to calculate the distance and thus the exact fill level.
This technology is equally effective for monitoring bulk solids and liquids, even in tough conditions such as dust, steam, condensation, buildup, or fluctuating temperatures. With very high sensitivity, it is also perfect for challenging materials. Internal installations, such as agitators, are automatically compensated, ensuring accurate and stable measurement results at all times.
