How to configure solutions for level control of cement manufacturing processes
One of Italy’s largest building industry suppliers equipped its storing processes with suitable level measurement technology. The challenge was to find a system which can measure reliably even in this extremely dusty environment. Together with UWT a free-radiating continuous level measurement was configured. In addition to that a vibrating fork was installed for overfill protection within the truck transporters.

Every year, over 40 million cubic meters of ready-mixed concrete is processed in Germany. Already 85% of all concrete and fresh mortar required on construction sites are mixed in ready-mixed concrete plants. In aggregate, quarry and mining applications, the conditions are often harsh, noisy and dusty. The TDR level measurement devices with their high compatibility are used for consistently accurate continuous level detection under difficult varying process conditions, such as high pull-off forces, caking or condensate formation. -

A manufacturer of veterinary products equipped several of his process tanks for various liquids with modern level measurement technology. Due to the process conditions, the coaxial version of the guided wave radar sensor from UWT was installed within the injection reactors. TDR sensors meet the highest safety standards, which makes them the preferred technology, especially in the pharmaceutical sector.

In the metallurgy and metal sector, conditions are often harsh, noisy and dusty. The level measuring devices must be robust and absolutely reliable as standard in order to ensure a continuous, stress-free production process. A modern solution for continuous level measurement with guided wave radar sensors was configured for a global steel producer near Santo Domingo. For precise results, the level measurement technology had to be unaffected by dust, abrasion and high process temperatures.
